Storm Summary and Projection: Hurricane Summary POSTED: November 22, 2009 8:04 a.m.
No Tropical Development is Expected
The tropical Atlantic remains quiet and no tropical development will occur through at least early this week. There are a couple of very weak tropical waves to watch. One is south of the eastern
tip of Cuba and the other is south of the Dominican Republic. There is very little shower and thunderstorm activity associated with these two waves, and it is unlikely that we will have any
significant showers and thunderstorms around them over the next day or two. There is a lot of dry air aloft in this area and strong westerly winds aloft over the Caribbean are causing shear. There is
some chance that the moisture and energy from these waves are pulled northward during the middle of this week into Florida, but even then it is unlikely that we see any development.
